Did You Happen To See...

The beer commercial that applauded the soldiers walking through an airport? Well I seen it, loved it and from what I gather many Americans loved it too.

Here is a story worth a read: Applause in the Airport? Beyond the Beer Commercial.

Just Wondering..

What Jessica Lynch would think of this?

Abuse.jpg

For the last few days I'm trying to conjure up some sympathy, empathy or even a tinge of "oh that is so wrong". It's just not coming. Part of that worries me a little bit, not much....mostly what I'm thinking is: Fuck them.

I'm wondering just murderous act in the name of Allah hardened my heart past no return. I'll probably never know.

Soldiers and Suicide

I can not get this article out of my mind today, so I might as well post about it. I don't know why I was stunned to hear about GI's committing suicide, but I was. I guess if someone were to have a reason to contemplate suicide being in the middle of a war would make one despondent enough. Never knowing when your enemies will strike. Loved ones so far away and separated from all you know. Literal hell on earth.

I'm not sure if there is a worse feeling on this earth then to realize another human being is so sad and feeling life is so hopeless that suicide is their only option. I hate to see that kind of pain in someone's eyes, and I pray that I never miss it. Then I pray for the right words. I pray for our soldiers.

Body Armor

It seems there is a bit of a shortage for our troops overseas for body armor. Personally I think Bush's overseas trip should of been postponed and the money obviously utilized for saving lifes.

But then again, what the hell do I know about priorities.

An Eye Opener...

Iraq is Safer for some than Washington, DC.
Now that is some scarey shit you won't read on the front pages of any newspapers.

Curtsey to Acidman for steering me to this post.

Looking for News....

About what's up with this?

The vial of botulinum bacteria discovered in Iraq by U.S. arms inspectors – which experts call the most poisonous substance known to man – is "a weapon of mass destruction," the State Department's top spokesman announced yesterday.

and last but not least:

POLISH troops have found four French missiles in central Iraq that they believe were only manufactured earlier this year...

Am I looking in all the wrong places? This is the only place I can find info on these happenings.

Now if story #2 is true...I guess this explains Chirac's bullshit attitude doesn't it?

**Update: Ok I did find this article finally.

Ready to pay?

Well if you didn't catch Bush's speech last night let me paraphrase it for you:

Being in Iraq has cost a shit load, it's going to cost a shit load more. He told us two years ago the fight on terror was going to take awhile...weren't you listening? We are now positioned in the terrorists front yards (Saudi) and Germany and France might as well shut the hell up, put on their play clothes, bring the spare change bucket and come on out to play.

Oh and he didn't come out and say it but the IRS will be knocking on the door to pick up your spare change so it's time to dig down in the sofa cracks.

Otherwise there was nothing we didn't already know.

UN in Iraq

So Bush is "asking" the UN Security Council to send in an international force. Well duh...this is a no brainer. The big scarey shit is over and there is oil to be had. Like he really has to ask. Now we get to hear all the pompous ass blowhards rhetoric and the pretend bargaining before they belly up to the oil wells bar.

The Hussein's Funeral

Well since I just posted a morbid topic, lets pick things up. Uday, Qusay and Mustafa were buried yesterday by family and supporters. See the pics here. It seems there was alot of whining going on about the decomposition of the bodies and how they couldn't be buried properly. Should of thrown their asses in a mass grave...isn't that Uday and Qusay's normal custom?

Maybe I'm a cold hearted bitch but I would of arrested and detained every mourner at that funeral. Let them all be martyrs. Asswipes show more respect for the dead then they do for the living.

Saudi Arabia Backed 9/11

Now did we really need a
900 page document
to figure that out? If 15 of the murdering hijackers were from Saudi...isn't that a good clue?

I like this part from the article:

"If this comes out, it will blow the top off the relations with (the Saudi) government because the American people will just be outraged," said one source familiar with the report. "We invaded Iraq for something tangential. And here we have a government whose senior leaders have very direct, very extensive links to the hijackers, to the actual people who got on the planes and flew them into those buildings.

"People don't know how much is in there and how specific it is," the source said. "The public hasn't gotten anywhere near the meat of it."

Isn't it becoming abundantly clear why we needed Iraq's oil?

How fast is our military bases in Iraq going up?

I know, I know, I have convoluted thinking right? Do I?

Saddam Sighting

So the dear man has surfaced on tape again urging people to be patient and wait for his return. Right.
Just because there is a 25 million dollar price on his head, and I want the money I have excellent intelligence that says Saddam right now is at his third cousin's house on his mothers side sleeping on the couch. Got that?

Anti-Americans

As I'm waiting to leave for work I'm reading blogs as usual. ..turningtables... is one of my favorites to read. I rarely read other peoples comments unless I'm going to post a comment. Today I wanted to so I started reading the comments posted on his 7.29.2003 post.

The first person that commented pissed me off. I really could care less if he's anti-American who really gives a shit what they think. What pissed me off is who he targeted. Someone far away from what he is defending (loved ones, peaceful nights, comforts we all take for granted). I guess these hateful morons really don't understand Americans. Kick one of us when we are down and it just makes us stronger, more determined and dangerous.

I sure wish the media would get their hands on that comment. The US Army is crap? I think not infidel.

Photos Released

Apparently they will show the bodies. I can't help but think that killing these two brothers were in fact finding and destroying weopons of mass destruction.
