Whoa. Is this week off to a roaring start?!? I have only 4 more work days to get through before I fly out of this crazy town for a few days. There is always something in the air here before Devil's Night, the night Detroit always claims no longer exists. Remember last year when Kwame baby claimed the night had been quiet and the citizens of Detroit were good? Then a week later it's announced in the back page of the paper that over 200 fires were put out? Oh...that's right, we aren't supposed to talk about that.

I had a few conversations with some police people yesterday and we were discussing shootings and I was told in a no nonsense sort of way "well if a shooting happens in Detroit you won't read about it, it's kept out of the news. Doesn't look good you know?"

Don't I. We must be spared from the truth at all cost, right?
