Ready to pay?
Well if you didn't catch Bush's speech last night let me paraphrase it for you: Being in Iraq has cost a shit load, it's going to cost a shit load more. He told us two years ago the fight on terror was going to take awhile...weren't you listening? We are now positioned in the terrorists front yards (Saudi) and Germany and France might as well shut the hell up, put on their play clothes, bring the spare change bucket and come on out to play. Oh and he didn't come out and say it but the IRS will be knocking on the door to pick up your spare change so it's time to dig down in the sofa cracks. Otherwise there was nothing we didn't already know. Comments
I expected nothing less. Posted by: Tony S. at September 8, 2003 06:58 AMSadly, neither did I. But did anyone catch when he said that he was going to ask Congress for more money for the (efforts) in Afghanistan, Iraq and elsewhere? Elsewhere? Am I missing something, or did we attack another country while I was sleeping? Posted by: dawn at September 8, 2003 02:05 PMoops, maybe he meant Liberia. you just don't hear about it anymore, so I assumed we weren't there. Posted by: dawn at September 8, 2003 02:06 PMWell North Korea is trying to get involved in the fun and games. I wonder how many more troops we have in that region...for training of course.
